Amalfi, Italy. August 2023. Hotel Aurora, Frecciarossa Train from Rome to Naples, Ferry from Naples to Amalfi

How was your overall experience during the trip?:

Amalfi was a lively city with a bustling transportation hub for the local area.

What were the highlights of your journey? :

Excellent seafood and views at Stella Maris and Marina Grande, walking around the city center, appreciating the craftmanship and beauty of the Duomo.

Did everything go smoothly, or were there any challenges you faced during the trip?:

The bus stop and ferry port serve many local cities. On a day of bad weather, the ferry didn't run and the busses were overcrowded.

What surprised you the most about the destination you visited?:

Streets that felt like they were only for pedestrians were very busy with cars and scooters breezing through.

Is there anything you would have done differently or any recommendations you have for future travelers to that destination?:

Take a car if you have to get from Amalfi to Naples when the ferry isn't an option. The bus ride was crazy! Book refundable train tickets in case you get delayed.
